PNWBA Cooks' Rules
PNWBA Professional Competition
- The Pacific Northwest Barbecue Association has sanctioned the professional
competition.
- Charcoal, wood or wood-pellet grills only, no gas.
- The entry fee is $125 per team, $135 after June 28.
- Teams compete in four meat categories: chicken, pork ribs, beef brisket
and pork butt.
- Painted Hills Natural Beef is donating one whole brisket to each team
($40-50 value).
- We will award at least $2500 in prize money.
- $100 Hotel Condon gift certificate to be drawn at Cooks Meeting.
- $50 in free gas to the team that drives the farthest (as determined by
internet mapping).
- Vending opportunity on Saturday, July 5th from 5-7pm: "Taste of the
Northwest's Best BBQ". Teams can sell directly to the public and keep
all money brought it. Menu items and prices are set by each team. Pop and
water will be sold by the Hamner Foundation.
